This qualification is suited to applicants who are responsible for the operational management of a practice, and working under the guidance of a practice manager or principal. It is targeted towards a range of practice types, for example general, specialist and government practices and addresses the daily operations of a practice with a strong focus on staff management and supporting client/patient needs complemented by an understanding of risk management and compliance.
Skills and outcomes include:
- Leading and managing a team in a range of workplace environments
- Building successful workplace relationships through networking opportunities
- Planning, organising, implementing and monitoring organisational workloads
- Evaluating and applying solutions to a range of predictable and unpredictable problems
- Optimising on individual and team performance
Entry Requirements
There are no academic entry requirements for these qualifications. Students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) which we can assist with, photo identification and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements.

This course can be conducted online, blended, work based or in the classroom. Training is delivered through our Registered Training Organisation: Gateway Training Academy RTO ID 32305.
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a:
- Nationally recognised Certificate & Transcript or
- Statement of Attainment (if found competent in at least 1 Unit of Competency)
To successfully complete this qualification, you require 12 units of competence. These 12 units are comprised of 5 core unit which is compulsory and 7 elective units.
